Professional Poker Tour (PPT) Season II Qualifications (as of June 2, 2006)
On behalf of WPT Enterprises, Inc., we would like to announce the second season of the Professional Poker Tour.
In order to update the Season I PPT Player list, WPT Enterprises, Inc. has reviewed each player’s qualifications from the inaugural season and Seasons III and IV of WPT. Remember, players may have lost their PPT card for any of the following reasons:
• Their 1 Year Card has expired • They did not play in at least 2 of the five Season I PPT events • They did not play in at least 50% of the events WPT Seasons III or IV • They did not comply with PPT rules and regulations
Revised criteria for qualification are listed below. These changes reflect an effort to include poker’s finest and most respected resources as determining factors for eligibility. Any future updates to this list of qualifications as well as eligible player lists will be made as they become available.
Automatic Qualification:
1. Three-Year Cards To:
• All WPT Champions (i.e. winners of any WPT Regular Season Event) • Anyone who makes more than one Final Table in the current season of the WPT • First, Second, or Third place in 2005 $25K WPT World Championship event • First, Second, or Third place in the $25K WPT World Championship event (to be announced April 2006) • Top Ten (10) Players on WPT Player of the Year list 2005 • Top Ten (10) Players on WPT Player of the Year list 2006 • First, Second, or Third place in 2005 World Series of Poker $10K event (July Main Event – does not include any WSOP circuit events) • First, Second, or Third place in 2006 World Series of Poker $10K event (July Main Event – does not include any WSOP circuit events) (to be announced August 2006) • Top Ten (10) Players on Card Player Magazine’s Player of the Year list 2005 • Top Ten (10) Players on PokerPages.com’s Player of the Year list 2005 • Top Ten (10) Players on BLUFF Magazine’s Player of the Year list 2005 • Top Ten (10) Players on ALL-IN Magazine’s Player of the Year list 2005 • Inductees into WPT Poker Walk of Fame • Inductees into Poker Hall of Fame
2. Two-Year Cards To:
• Fourth, Fifth, or Sixth place in the 2005 $25K WPT World Championship event • Fourth, Fifth, or Sixth place in the 2006 $25K WPT World Championship event • Fourth, Fifth, or Sixth place in the 2005 $10K World Series of Poker event (July Main Event – does not include any WSOP circuit events) • Fourth, Fifth, or Sixth place in the 2006 World Series of Poker $10K event (July Main Event – does not include any WSOP circuit events) (to be announced August 2006)
3. One-Year Cards To:
• Top Twenty (20) Players on European Poker list 2005 • Anyone who played in 13 WPT main events in either Seasons III or IV
Other Ways to Qualify:
• Win a PPT event; Three-Year Card • Make it to a PPT Final Table; One-Year Card • Make two or more PPT Final Tables in a single season; Three-Year Card • Member Casino & WPTE will have a total of twelve (12) exemptions per event • Number of WPT events players play in will be considered as a factor
