Independent Staff Review

Overall Rating: 9.0

Poker.com began operations in May 2005. They are an independent poker
room which offers decent software and good player traffic for a newer poker
room. Their graphics are smooth and clean, and stability and functionality is
good.
Poker.com mainly caters to low limit and mid limit players.

According to recent statistics, their ring games attract 600-700 players at
peak hours. Tournament traffic is higher and real money traffic ranges from
1,100-1,200 at peak hours. They promote their freerolls which offer some
nice prizes and this has driven tournament traffic to these levels.

Competition is soft, with most of the player volume in micro limit and no-limit
Hold'em games. Players at Poker.com are quite loose and this makes it
relatively easy for a decent poker player to win.

Pros

  • Poker.com offers many freeroll tournaments which offer pretty high
value prize pools such as their $1,000 Daily Initial Depositors Freeroll
and $50 freerolls every 2 hours
  • Their promotions are good and they offer a 100% New Player Signup
    Bonus
  • Customer support is solid with 24/7 email support and live support is
available for deposit and withdrawal inquiries.
  • Tables, lobby and cashier are easily navigated and displays stats such
as average pot and hands played per hour
  • Instant hand history statistics and instant withdrawals
  • Blackjack available in same software client
  • One of the better sites for no-limit Hold'em low limit players

Cons

  • Newer poker room - Traffic tends to be only moderate outside of peak
    hours
  • Software has some slight glitches and makes it difficult to play multiple
    tables
  • Small number of play money tables

How do I earn Comp Points?

Comp points can be earned by playing eligible tournaments and real money
ring games at
Poker.com.

Tournaments award a fixed comp point amount. The amount is shown on the
tournament details screen when you register.

Ring Games award comp points in blocks for every 15 consecutive hands. For
every 15 hands you are dealt, you will be awarded a block of comp points.
Comp points are not awarded for heads up (2 player max) ring games.
What can I do with my Comp Points?

Tracking your eligibility requirements to earn sign up bonuses, reload
bonuses and freeroll tournament coupons. Accumulation of points to

Features

  • Expose One Card - Let your opponents know you weren't bluffing by
showing your ace without having to show your deuce kicker!
  • Tag Players - Think someone is a fish? Then tag them so you know the
next time you meet them at the table. Choose your own custom
description to go with their range of player tags.
  • Player Box Accolades - Win a big tournament at Poker.com and you
are issued with a player box accolade to make sure that your

nondescript tables that look the same at Poker.com, they change
depending on what type of game or tournament you are playing.
  • Speech Bubbles and Smilies - Want to express yourself with more
than just text? Well you can by selecting a smilie from their "List
Smilies" menu or by typing the related code, such as :), into the chat
box. Table chat can also appear as speech bubbles so you can easily
    see who is talking.
