Independent Staff Review
Overall Rating: 8.0
Pacific Poker is a member of Casino On Net which is one of the world's largest
online casinos. Pacific Poker is one of the better low to medium limit online
poker rooms. They usually offer many good promotions including guaranteed
prize pool and money added tournaments as well as a good selection of
freerolls.
Their software is quite good and has been improved. Pacific Poker's software
offers decent graphics and usually runs smoothly. The table layout is
excellent and is easy to navigate and view. Players should have a good
playing experience as the software platform usually runs at a good speed
even during peak hours.
Player competition at Pacific Poker is very soft. Being part of the Casino On
Net group, they tend to draw many players who are "gamblers" and
recreational players looking to play for enjoyment. Alot of their clients are
less experienced poker players. Players looking to find a good game with
great profit potentials should like Pacific. The low limit games at Pacific tend
to draw very loose players and the rake policy is very good.
Ring game traffic is strong but is strongly concentrated toward players who
prefer fixed limit Hold'em and Hold'em tournaments.
Pros
- Some of the loosest players online
- Easy profit potential
- Beginners can use their Poker School feature
- Mac/Linux compatible
- Decent customer support
- Solid Hold'em player traffic
- Player friendly withdrawal methods
Cons
- Not the most attractive or best graphics
- Software can be sluggish at times
- Player traffic tends to be geared mostly toward Hold'em games
