| 2006 World Poker Tour Foxwoods Poker Classic Final Table Is Set |

Entering day two action at the World Poker Tour Foxwoods Poker Classic
tournament, there were 22 players fighting it out for only six spots at the
televised final table. Five players were knocked out in the first hour alone.
Overall, it took less than seven hours to whittle the field down to the final six.
Greg Monaldi was the day end chip leader after the first and second days of
play. However, day three did not treat Monaldi the same. He was unable to
get anything going on day two and eventually was eliminated in twelfth place.
Just moments after Monaldi was knocked out, the hand of the day took place.
Brent Keller raised to $85,000 and Kenny Chantamala pushed all in behind
him. Much to everyone’s surprise, Ron Wilson called all in. Brent Keller
immediately calls and flips over pocket kings. However, both Chantamala and
Wilson flip over pocket aces. The flop comes 7d 5h 4s and Keller will need one
of the two remaining kings. To the shock of the entire room, the king of
diamonds falls on the turn, giving Keller trips and leaving the other players
drawing dead. Both Chantamala and Wilson were eliminated and Brent Keller
raked in a monster pot.
Brent Keller must have used up all of his luck, though, as he was the next
player eliminated. David Lewis was knocked out in eight place and the
unfortunate television bubble boy was Spiros Mitrokostas.
The chip counts going into the final table of the 2006 WPT Foxwoods Poker
Classic are as follows:
1. Ed Jordan $2,875,000
2. Victor Ramdin $1,793,000
3. Larry Klur $1,687,000
4. Alex Jacob $1,066,000
5. John Russell $639,000
6. Bruce Kater $564,000
The final table is set to begin April 9th at 1 p.m. PST.
