2006 Caesars Indiana World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Event Event #12 $5,000 + $150 Championship Event End of Day 2 Tournament Report
|
The final day of the WSOP Circuit championship event at Caesars Indiana
should prove interesting because Chad “Lilholdem” Batista, a spirited and
outgoing 25-year-old pro, will start with a big chip lead of 388,000, more than
100,000 over his nearest challenger. This is only the second land-based
tournament for Batista, an online player who once won two PartyPoker
million guarantee tournaments in a month. His first was the preceding event
here, a $2,000 no-limit tournament, where he finished fourth.
Day two ended when Hilbert Shirey’s A-K held up to knock out John Hegele,
who had Qs-10s. The third and final day will start at 1:55 p.m.
Two other players who made that final table, Thomas Fuller and Edward
Corrado, will also be playing tomorrow.
