Clonie Gowen’s Full Tilt Poker Lawsuit Dismissed

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

A lawsuit seeking $40 million in damages against Full Tilt Poker by Clonie Gowen has been dismissed. The lawsuit was filed on November 14, 2008.

Gowen had claimed that she was offered a 1% stake in Full Tilt Poker for her services as a celebrity endorser but never received anything.

U.S. District Court Judge Robert Jones dismissed the case explaining that the agreement lacked detail and she was never offered a legal partnership with Full Tilt Poker because she was not responsible for the site’s losses before it became profitable.

“Nowhere in the allegations does Plaintiff allege, consistent with a general partnership, that the agreement made her liable for 1% of Full Tilt Poker’s losses before it became profitable,” the decision reads. “Therefore, it is not plausible that a partnership, limited or general, was offered.”
