Captain Tom Franklin and Brandi Hawbaker: Drama on the Tournament Circuit

Brandi Hawbucker

Ok, well, I rarely will post about subjects such as this, but, this one just has to be told. It seems there is a bit more than poker being played in the poker tournament circuit recently. A post on the 2+2 Forum by Brandi Hawbaker is one of the hottest topics in poker right now. Brandi is a 24 year old poker player from Los Angeles, California. She has been participating in the tournament scene recently, and ran into Captain Tom Franklin. Brandi can be a bit flirtatious and is obviously using her looks to further herself in poker. However, I am not taking anybody's side on this one. Who knows what is going on here. You will have to read the Never Trust Anyone post for yourself and decide. One thing is for sure, the Brandi Hawbaker thread is creating a lot of buzz.

Here are some of the characters mentioned: Brandi Hawbaker, Captain Tom Franklin (with special surprise guest - his penis!), Dutch Boyd, Todd & Doyle Brunson, Gavin Smith, Mark Newhouse, Chris Bell, to name a few. Wow, Captain Tom's penis, "huggling", big time pro names, lots of drama, an Overdose attempt, this post has it all! This is an interesting story to say the least.

I suggest you take a look at the post Never Trust Anyone post on the 2+2 Forum. But, be warned - this post has created a huge response, so, there are hundreds if not thousands of comments from other forum members to read through.

I guess there is a lot more going on then just poker in the tournament poker scene. From what I have read, things can get rather ugly quick. I stumbled upon this interesting story at Pauly's Tao of Poker blog. While I concentrate on reporting on the various poker tournaments being held, other members of the blogging community are up to date on the stories behind the scenes. In a world where millions of dollars are being won and lost daily, this controversial story is creating more buzz than many of the larger tournaments being held by the WSOP and WPT. You have to check it out!

Wow, things can get rather dramatic in the poker world, especially away from the tables!

PokerStars 100% Bonus

Poker Stars Bonus

PokerStars 100% New Player Deposit Bonus

A lot of people ask me, "Why is PokerStars attracting such a large number of new players?" I feel it is because they are the biggest tournament site online. They have a huge number of tournaments to participate in. Poker Stars sends more players to the World Poker Tour, World Series of Poker and European Poker Tour than any other online poker room. From No Limit Hold'em to Razz, to HORSE, PokerStars clearly has the best tournaments of any online poker room.
They also have a large variety of cash games to play. Any hour of the day, there are many variations of ring games to play at PokerStars. Unlike some other sites that have less players, PokerStars always has a game running - Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, Horse, Hose, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo - you name it, they have a game available. Plus, they recently added 2-7 Triple Draw and Five Card Draw games. So, whether you are Hold'em player, Stud player, or Omaha player, you can find a game any time of the day at Poker Stars. During peak hours there are well over 90,000 players online at PokerStars.com! Plenty of action, and plenty of potential to make a good profit.
PokerStars also has been giving a bonus to new players who make their first deposit. They rarely offer a new player bonus, so this is another reason why they are attracting such a huge amount of new players recently. Many players have not had the opportunity to get a bonus on their first deposit at PokerStars. Add the fact that PartyPoker and Pacific Poker, among other sites, have stopped taking US players, and PokerStars is clearly the top choice for many poker players around the world.
If you are looking for a new poker site or just want to find a better site, I recommend that you sign up at Poker Stars. But, don't wait too long to make your decision. Time is running out for new players to receive a 100% Bonus at PokerStars.com. This special promotion will only be available through December 31, 2006. Now is the perfect time to start playing at PokerStars if you have not signed up already. I personally recommend PokerStars.com for their tournaments, cash games, and for the great potential to make a profit.
