The Final Table:

SEAT 1:                        Allie Prescott
HOMETOWN:               Memphis, TN
CHIP COUNT:              163,500
Allie Prescott is from Memphis, TN.  He is a 24-year-old real estate investor.
Prescott also has local connections, as a graduate of Tulane University in
New Orleans.  Prescott has enjoyed some success in his young poker career.
He finished in the money at major poker events in Mississippi and California.
When asked what he wants others to know about him, Prescott answered:
“I’m not as sexy as Gavin Smith (the chip leader)….but I’m a much better
poker player.”  We’ll see if that is really true at today’s final table.

SEAT 2:                        David Babin
HOMETOWN:               Norco, LA
CHIP COUNT:              86,900
David Babin is a 28-year-old poker player from Norco, LA.  He works as an
account manager for a local insurance firm.  He is married and has been
playing poker for about two years.  Babin won his way into this event
through a satellite at Harrah’s New Orleans, costing just $200.  Babin’s poker
nickname is “Super Dave.”  He’ll need a super effort today to defeat what
promises to be a tough but exciting group of final table players.

SEAT 3:                        Matt Russell
HOMETOWN:               Houston, TX
CHIP COUNT:              34,200
Matt Russell is playing in his first-ever WSOP-related tournament.  It’s quite
an accomplishment to make it all the way to a final table the very first time.
Russell is a 27-year-old real estate investor from Houston, TX and is married.
He says he learned to play poker online.  That experience certainly paid off in
this tournament, although Russell has a very big challenge today, starting as
one of the shortest stacks.

SEAT 4:                        Peter Feldman
HOMETOWN:               Harper Woods, MI
CHIP COUNT:              223,400
Peter Feldman was the chip leader at the start of day three.  He is now
second in the chip-count.  Feldman is 28-years-old and is from Harper Woods,
Michigan.  His poker nickname is “Nordberg.”  Feldman won his way into this
event via a mega-satellite.  He has been playing poker for nearly three
years.  Feldman’s best showing up to this point was a 7th-place finish at the
Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City earlier this year.

SEAT 5:                        George Abdullah
HOMETOWN:               Houston, TX
CHIP COUNT:              148,900
George Abdullah was born in Pittsburgh, PA – although he now lives in
Houston, TX.  Abdullah is a 32-year-old restaurant owner.  He also went to
school at the Marine Military Academy and the University of Texas at Austin.
Abdullah, who is of Lebanese decent says he learned to play poker from
former WSOP finalist Sammy Farha, who is also Lebanese and from Houston.
Abdullah has certainly been playing well recently.  He won a WSOP Circuit
event earlier this year in Tunica, MS – in Pot-Limit Omaha.  Abdullah is
currently fifth in the chip count.

SEAT 6:                        Ben Gordon
HOMETOWN:               Pensacola, FL
CHIP COUNT:              170,600
Ben Gordon’s nickname is “Flash” – which makes him “Flash Gordon.”  Flash is
a 42-year-old attorney from Pensacola, FL.  He is married and has two
children.  Flash arrives third in the chip count.  He has played outstanding
poker over the past three days and regardless of what happens here, he will
be making his biggest cash ever in tournament poker.

SEAT 7:                        Brian Townsend
HOMETOWN:               Santa Barbara, CA
CHIP COUNT:              102,000
Brian Townsend is a 24-year-old graduate student from Santa Barbara, CA.
He was born in Berkley, CA.  Townsend is studying electrical engineering.  He
hopes to get hot and electrify today’s final table, although he will certainly
face some heat from his opponents.  This is Townsend’s best showing ever in
a poker tournament.  He has only been playing for about two years.

SEAT 8:                        Gavin Smith
HOMETOWN:               Guelph, Ontario (Canada)
CHIP COUNT:              645,800
The whale at today’s final table is Gavin Smith, no stranger to making tables
and television audiences.  Smith has enjoyed several high-finishes at major
tournaments.  He won a million dollars at the Mirage in Las Vegas, last year.
Smith comes into today’s finale as the player to beat – with better than a 2
to 1 chip lead over everyone else.  Smith is originally from Canada, but now
lives in Las Vegas.

SEAT 9:                        Kenny Brown
HOMETOWN:               Gulf Shores, AL
CHIP COUNT:              17,600
The ninth seat at the final table belongs to Kenny Brown, from Gulf Shores,
AL.  Brown is the shortest stack of the ten players in the finale.  Brown is an
Alabama native who has been playing poker for 25 years.  He is 44-years-old
and self-employed.  Brown’s nickname is derived from his initials – “KB.”
When asked how he learned to play poker, KB answered, “the hard way.”
KB has the ultimate challenge and the biggest mountain to climb today,
starting with just 17,600 in chips.

SEAT 10:                      Dana Diephouse
HOMETOWN:                Baton Rouge, LA
CHIP COUNT:               109,400
The final seat is filled by Dana Diephouse, from Baton Rouge, LA.  Diephouse
learned to play poker with friends hanging out at a pool hall.  But instead of
pocket billiards, Diephouse found there was more money to be made in
poker.  Diephouse, age 35, is a casino dealer at the Bell of Baton Rouge who
won his way into this tournament via a one-table satellite.  He hopes to turn
that initial investment into a first-place prize of $532,950.

Play resumes at 2 pm on Sunday, May 28, 2006
