Tournament Report

The table is revisited when “Heads-Up” action commences.

Steve Frederick  is our chip leader with $ 212,000 and James Droke
with $ 166,000.  The players have returned from a short break.  The blinds
change to $4000 & $8000 with an ante of $1000.  Several hands are played
with the chips moving between the players.  Small pairs and high cards are
shown by each players after a raise without a call from the opponent.  The
time clock sounds and the blinds increase to $6000 & $12000 with a $2000
ante.

A hand is played when James Droke pushes all-in and is called by Steve
Frederick.  Droke turns over pocket J’s to Frederick’s suited J-7 spades.  The
flop comes off as 4h-9d-9s.  The turn is the Qh and river 5c.  Droke’s pocket
J’s hold up to take down the pot.

2nd Place/ 1st Place:

On the button/small blind Droke opens with a small raise.  Frederick pushes
all-in; Droke calls.  Frederick turns up pocket J’s to a Jh-10h for Droke.  The
flop comes off as 6s-2h-Ah  giving further help to neither player.  The turn
card is a 6d with the river a 4c.  Droke finishes the tournament in 2nd place.
Pocket J’s hold up for Frederick and a 1st place finish.
