Tournament Report
The ladies tournament took just twenty-seven hands to determine 1st and
2nd places. A bet or raise from either player would cause the other player to
fold. Martine had the advantage of sixteen hands to Wendy’s eleven. Only
five hands to the final hand reached the river. On the final hand Martine
raised all-in. Martine turned over Ad-7d to Wendy’s Jc-Qc. The flop came 2h-
2s-Ac giving Martine top pair of A’s. The Kd on the turn and Qd on the river
failed to help Wendy overcome her opponent. Wendy took 2nd place with a
pair of Q’s to Martine’s pair of A’s for 1st place.
