Tournament Report

The final table commences with blinds of $800/1600 and an ante of $200.  A
little over one hour remains on the time clock.

9th Place:
Ninth place is quickly determined.  Mark Cole pushes all-in for $14,800; called
by Jordan Morgan.  Cole shows a pocket pair of 8’s to Morgans pocket 6’s.
The flop is Qc-Qs-5d; no help for either player.  The 6d on the turn gives
Morgan sixes full of queens.  A Js on the river gives no help to Cole and
Morgan takes down the pot.  Cole leaves in 9th Place.

8th Place:
Dan Hicks declares all-in called by Barry Greenstein.  Hicks turns over pocket
9’s to Greensteins A’s.  The flop, turn and river give no help to Hicks who
exits in 8th Place.

7th Place:
David Daneshgar raises from seat 4.  Morgan pushes all-in; Daneshgar calls.
Morgan shows an A-K to A-Q for Daneshgar.  With the flop of As-9s-7h each
player has top pair.  The turn is a 4h followed on the river by a 9h.
Morgans K kicker plays to win the pot.  Daneshgar takes down 7th Place.

Time runs out and the blinds increase to $1200/$2400 with an ante of $300.
Shortly thereafter, Coniglian pushes all-in; called by Scott Fischman.
Coniglians Q kicker doubles thru Fischman.  Then Coniglian with pocket 9’s
pulls out a straight on the river to take chips away from Morgan.  Coniglian is
on a heater.  A few hands later, Greenstein raises and is called by Fischman;
all-in.  Greenstein calls; each player shows pocket Q’s.  The pot is chopped.
The blinds raise to $1500/3000; ante $400.

6th Place:
All-in by David Byer, called by Fischman and Coniglian.  The hands are Ad10d
for Byer, pocket trey’s for Fischman and pocket Q’s for Coniglian. After a flop
of Ac-2d-9s, turn 2s and river 9c the side pot is pushed to Coniglian. Byer
receives the main pot to save his tournament life.  Fischman is the third man
walking in 6th Place.

5th Place:
David Byer again pushes all-in, called by Robert Bright.  It’s a pocket pair of 4’
s for Byer to Ad-10d for Bright.  The flop ends the tournament for Byer when
Bright flops a pair of A’s.  Bricks on the turn and river seal Byers tournament
placement in 5th.

Time runs out giving a short break to the players.  The new blinds will be
$2000/4000 with an ante of $500.

4th Place:
In the small blind, Greenstein holds pocket K’s to Brights A-K.  The flop is 9h-
Ad-4s followed by an 8d on the turn and a 6h on the river.  Greensteins K’s
take last position to the flopped A’s.  Greenstein leaves in 4th Place.

3rd Place:
A flurry of pre-flop activity determines third place.  Morgan raises on the
button and is re-raised from the small blind by Coniglian.  Morgan pushes all-
in; Coniglian calls.  Pocket 4’s on the button to A-K in the small blind.  The flop
is a Kc-7d-2c; top pair for Coniglian.  A 4 on the turn gives Morgan a set.  The
river is of no further help.  Coniglian exits in 3rd Place.

Heads-up action begins with Morgan having a 340k chip count over Brights
140k.

The blinds raise to $2500/5000 with a $500 ante.  Chips volley back and forth
between the two players.  The poker action is very good.  A hand near the
end gives Bright a large chip lead when he flops a straight.  Bright waits to
the river to push all-in, called by Morgan who has made two pair.  Morgans
chips have found a new home at the other end of the table.

2nd Place/1st Place:
On the final hand it is Ah-Ks for Morgan and 10s-9h for Bright.  After the flop
of 9s-2s-6s; Bright bets and is called all-in by Morgan for an additional 42.5k.
Bright takes a short dip into the tank then calls Morgan’s all-in raise.  A 10d
on the turn gives Bright two pair.  The 5d on the river ends the tournament
for Morgan in 2nd Place.  Bob Bright wins 1st Place prize money and the gold
WSOP ring.
