Tournament Report

9th Place:

Play commences at our final table with the small blind at $3000, big blind at
$6000 and an ante of $1000.   Michael Billings in seat #1 turns over a pair of
J’s to David Kaneski in seat #4 who shows a pair of Q’s. The board gives
further help to neither player.  Michael takes away 9th  place.

8th Place:

James Pechac all-in and is called by Jed Kutaka.  Each player holds a pocket
pair; Pechac with 7’s and Kutaka with Q’s.  The flop of 4d-Ac-10s gives Pechac
an early lead.  A Ks on the turn and a Jh on the river gives no further help to
Pechac who finishes in 8th place.

7th Place:

Brian Essenter pushes all-in and is called by Jason Kaylor on the button.
Essenter with a Qc-3s is up against an Ah-Qh for Kaylor.   Each player pairs
their Q on the flop of 5c-Qs-3c.  The turn shows a 5d and the river a 3d
leaving Kaylor with the A kicker for the win.  Essenter leaves in 7th place.

A few hands later, Bob Dillon doubles up through Kaylor when Kaylor raises
to $16000 and Dillon declares all-in; Kaylor calls.  Dillon shows Ah-7d to Jason’
s 7c-8c.  The board of Kd-Qs-3d, 5s, 2d helps neither player.  Bob’s A-high is
a winner.

6th Place:

John Stout declares all-in for $27,000; Dillon comes over the top for $57,000.
All players fold including the blinds.  Stout has a pocket pair of 9’s to Dillon’s
10’s.  The flop comes 7h-2s-Js with a turn of 8d and a river of 8s.  Dillon
dominates Stout for a 6th place finish.

The time ends with Dillon our chip leader with $366,000.  The short stack is
$56,000.  The blinds change to $6000/$12000 with an ante of $2000.

5th Place:

Kaylor pushes all-in and is called by Kutaka in the big blind.  Kaylor has a pair
of 2’s to Kutaka’s Kc-Qc.  The flop of 3c-Ah-9d keeps the 2’s in the lead.  A 4s
hit the turn.  Kutaka spikes a Qh on the river for top pair.  Kaylor takes away
a 5th place finish.

4th Place:

Fourth place comes a few hands later.  Dillon in the big blind pushes all-in
and Steve Gersch calls.  Each player has an A; Dillon with Ad-Jh and Gersch
with Ac-Kc.  Dillon finds a pair on the flop of 6s-Q-cJc.  The turn is the Qs and
the river the 4s giving the pot to Dillon. Gersch finishes in 4th place.

3rd Place:

Third place occurs just before time runs out and the levels change once
again.  Kanesky with pocket 9’s flops a set to Kutaka’s two pair of A’s and Q’s
when the flop comes Qh-9h-Ac.  The turn and river do not change the results
of the flop and Kutaka takes away 3rd place.

2nd Place/1st Place:

Kanesky doubles through Dillon when he pushes all-in and is called holding
pocket A’s to Dillon’s Ah-7s.  The board is Kc-Ad-Qh, Qd, Jh giving Kenesky A’s
full of Q’s.  The next few hands are traded between  the players with Dillon
once again gaining a chip lead.  A new hand is dealt and Kanesky declares all-
in; Dillon quickly calls.  Kanesky shows down a Ac-9h to Dillon’s pocket K’s.
The flop comes 8h-2s-6s; Bob must continue to dodge an A to win. The turn
puts a Jd on the board and the river a 4d.  David walks away with 2nd place.
Bob’s pocket K’s hold up for a 1st place win, $88,357 and a gold WSOP ring.
